Haumoana is a small seaside community on the Cape Coast 15 minutes away from each of the twin cities Napier and Hastings and 10 minutes from Havelock North.
The Haumoana Volunteer Fire Brigade covers not only this settlement but also the closely located communities of Clive, Te Awanga and Clifton.
With a permanent population of approximately 4000 people in the area, the Brigade is a vibrant, busy one that responds to around 130 calls each year, including all types of fires, medical incidents, vehicle accidents and other emergencies.
There is also seasonal visitor flows to the spectacular landscape of Cape Kidnappers, home to the world’s largest mainland gannet colony and one of the world’s top 50 golf courses, which is only a few minutes away.
The Haumoana Volunteer Fire Brigade, at 28 Beach Road has a very long and proud history since being formed on 1 June 1946. We have operated from the current fire station since 1957.
