Rolleston’s Newest Firefighter

Congratulations to FF Adam Graham on completing his week long recruits course in May. Adam worked hard prior to the course, studying and honing skills, and according to the course instructors this shone through. Well done Adam, and welcome to the ranks!

Recently the Rolleston Volunteer Fire Brigade had the honour of presenting a Gold Star to one of its own. The Gold Star is received for  25 years service to the community as a volunteer firefighter. A very special occasion for both recipient and brigade. A great night was had by all. Congratulations Gray, well deserved.

A restricted fire season is now in force across Selwyn district. A prohibited fire season was declared last week and continues to remain in force across Selwyn. In a prohibited fire season, no outdoor fires can be lit in the district. Rolleston Firefighter Grabs Medal at World Firefighter Games.

Congratulations to FF Reuben Costello for picking up the Bronze Medal in the Open Mens Full Kit Tower Climb in Sydney this month. On an operational side, least we know who to call on if needing a messanger in a high rise incident. Well done Reuben and congratulations from the whole Brigade.
