Hosted by the Methven Volunteer Fire Brigade, the South Island Waterway Challenge was held on 13 February 2016 and what an outstanding day Methven put on for all participants.
An overcast day made for a welcomed change to the searing heat the Mid Canterbury region has been privy to in the last few weeks.
Mossburn Volunteer Fire Brigade edged out Darfield by just two points to secure the top place for the 2-person category, while Greymouth Volunteer Fire Brigade celebrated a first placing in the 4-person category collecting a massive 92 points.
The full 2-person and 4-person results are available for download below.
As the South Island Waterway Challenge concludes the UFBA Waterway season, the UFBA Events Team and Technical Panel would like to extend a huge thank you to all host brigades and helpers, all challenge officials and all competitors for making the season so successful. With your ongoing support, challenges like these will continue to grow exponentially. We look forward to seeing you all in 2017!
