The toughest two minutes in sport - the National Firefighter Combat Challenge - is coming to Wellington's Odlins Plaza on the waterfront on Friday and Saturday, 19 and 20 April. The event is free to the public and firefighter fans of all ages are encouraged to stop by and cheer on the brave men and women who serve and protect New Zealand's communities.
The FIrefighter Combat Challenge is hugely popular in the US and around the world, and was introduced in New Zealand in 2007. In this national competition, men and women from both career and volunteer fire brigades throughout the country will travel to Wellington to prove they are tough enough to take on the physically gruelling course that simulates the physical demands of the job.
This event is not to be missed - so head down to the waterfront and catch the excitement.
