The UFBA runs a full schedule of challenges aimed at helping firefighters hone their skills in a competitive environment. Check out the upcoming events below.
If you are hosting an event and you wish to borrow UFBA equipment, please read the Equipment Request Policy and complete the Equipment Request form in the downloads section below and return it to the Events Team. In accordance with the policy, please submit your request to the UFBA Office no less than 30 days prior to the date required.
All Challenges have a requirement for Officials. If you are interested in being on the UFBA database for the 2012 / 2013 challenge calendar, please complete the online application form which can be found HERE.
In the interests of promoting Challenges on a long-term basis, preference will be given to those that are currently active and enrolled members of a brigade.
UFBA appointed Officials are covered for the following: Accommodation, travel and meals during the Challenge. Confirmation of entitlements will be included in your appointment letter.
Helpers are sourced from the Local Organising Committee and are funded on an event-by-event basis depending on requirements.

The 2013 National Drivers Challenge will be held at Ruapuna Raceway in Christchurch on 2-3 August 2013.
Cromwell will be hosting the National Waterway Challenge from 14-16 March 2013.
Greymouth will be hosting the Region 3 Waterway Challenge in 2013.
