Waterway Challenge
UFBA Waterway Challenges are hose-running competitions held every two years, with the next regional and national events scheduled for January and February of 2011.
The Challenges Committee recently undertook a review of the Waterway Rules for the 2010-11 year and has made some minor changes. The most current version of the rules can now be downloaded below.
Also available for download and use by Provincial Associations is the scoring system used by the UFBA in excel format.

Upcoming Events
2011 UFBA Region 2 Waterway Challenge
Carterton has been confirmed as the venue for the 2011 UFBA Region 2 Waterway Challenge, scheduled for 15 January. Additional details on the event and how to register will be posted as they are available in the coming months.
2011 Region 1 Waterway Challenge
Turangi has been confirmed as the venue for the 2011 UFBA Region 1 Waterway Challenge, scheduled to take place on 29 January. Additional details on this event and how to register will be posted as they are available.
2011 UFBA Region 4 Waterway Challenge
Oamaru is the confirmed venue for the 2011 UFBA Region 4 Waterway Challenge, scheduled to take place on 5th February. Additional information on this event and details on how to register will be posted as it is available in the coming months.
2011 UFBA Region 3 Waterway Challenge
Hokitika has been confirmed as the venue for the 2011 UFBA Region 3 Waterway Challenge, taking place on 12 February. Additional information on this event and details on how to register will be posted as they are available in the coming months.
2011 UFBA National Waterway Challenge
The National Waterway Challenge will be held in Carterton from February 24 - 26 2011. Information on registration, accommodation and social functions will be published in late September.
Past Events
2009 National Waterway Challenge
Fifty teams competed at the 2009 National Waterway Challenge in Queenstown. Carterton Volunteer Fire Brigade won the 4 person event and Te Aroha Volunteer Fire Brigade won the 2 person event.
2009 Regional Waterway Challenges
The first ever UFBA Regional Waterway Challenges were held in Te Aroha, Carterton, Hokitika, and Mosgiel in January and February, 2009.
