World Events
In years past, the UFBA has selected and funded teams and individuals to compete in world firefighter events with support from the New Zealand Fire Service.
The number of teams/individuals selected depends largely on funding available in each business year. However, where funds are not available, firefighters may choose to attend world events independently and on a self-funded basis, provided they meet the eligibility criteria set by the governing body.

Australasian & World Road Crash Rescue Challenge
The combined Australasian & World Road Crash Rescue Challenge 2011 will be hosted by the United Fire Brigades' Association at the CBS Canterbury Arena.
