We would love to hear from you if you are interested in being an Official for any of our upcoming UFBA Challenges. We fully fund UFBA-appointed Officials for their flights, accommodation, transfers and meals.
Helpers are volunteers from the Local Organising Committee and their brigade(s) and are subject to the Agreement to Host terms set out by the UFBA. We do not fund additional helpers (i.e. from outside the area) except in exceptional circumstances such as World or Australasian Challenges.

Your registration does not register you as an Official for specific events, it adds you to a database from which Officials and Volunteers are chosen by the Technical Panel.

Q » How can I update or cancel my profile on the database?
Please email the Events Team and ask them to do that for you. If you are updating your details, please provide all the necessary information.
Q » Why can't I register for a Challenge as soon as registration opens?
The Technical Panel appoint officials for all challenges. If you choose to register prior to the confirmation letters being sent out, your registration will be cancelled and you will be liable for any flight costs incurred.
Q » I've registered my interest in being an Official, what happens now?
Thank you for registering!
Prior to the challenge, the Events Team will email all those that have indicated an interest in being an official to check your availability.
Once we have confirmed who is available, the Technical Panel then choose who will be an Official and you will receive a letter confirming your acceptance. We will also email those who are not successful to let them know.
A list of all successful Officials will be posted on the relevant Event site.
