If you would like to register your interest in being an official for any of the upcoming UFBA Challenges, please click HERE. Please note that this does not register you for specific events, it is adding you to the database from which Officials and Volunteers are chosen.
To check if you are already on the list or to update any of your contact details, please email Kirsten in the office.
We fully fund UFBA-appointed Officials for their flights, accommodation, transfers and meals.
Helpers are volunteers from the Local Organising Committee and their brigade(s) and are subject to the Agreement to Host terms set out by the UFBA. We do not fund additional helpers (ie, from outside the area) except in exceptional circumstances (ie, World or Australasian challenges).

Frequently Asked Questions
Q » How can I update or cancel my profile on the database?
Please email the Events Team and ask them to do that for you. If you are updating your details, please provide all the necessary information.
Q » Why can't I register for a Challenge as soon as registration opens?
The Technical Panel appoint officials for all challenges. If you choose to register prior to the confirmation letters being sent out, your registration will be cancelled and you will be liable for any flight costs incurred.
Q » I've registered my interest in being an Official, what happens now?
Thank you for registering!
Approximately 3 - 6 months prior to the challenge, the Events Team will email all those that have indicated an interest in being an official to check your availability.
Once we have confirmed who is available, the Technical Panel then choose who will be an Official and you will receive a letter confirming your acceptance. We will also email those who are not successful to let them know.
A list of all successful Officials will be posted on the relevant Event site.
