2011 North Island Fire Fighter Combat Challenge Results
After a three-year hiatus, the UFBA Firefighter Combat Challenge made a comeback as Te Awamutu hosted the North Island Challenge on Saturday, 26 March.
Since the last UFBA Firefighter Combat Challenge - a National event held in Nelson in 2008 - firefighters from throughout the country have been chomping at the bit to get the event back on the UFBA schedule.
Thirty-three competitors participated in the individual events, and another seven tandem teams and three five-man relay teams - a respectable turnout for the much-anticipated event.
Competitors travelled from throughout the North Island to take part. Congratulations to everyone who participated.
