Rolleston Rises to the Top at National Road Crash Rescue Challenge

The Rolleston Volunteer Fire Brigade’s road crash rescue competition team has earned the title of National Champion, winning the UFBA (United Fire Brigades’ Association) National Road Crash Rescue (RCR) Challenge held over the weekend in Queenstown.

Werribee Wins Australasians, Feilding Leads NZ

For the second year straight, Werribee has won the Australasian Road Rescue Challenge - this year held in Upper Hutt from 14 to 17 July. The New Zealand teams - led by Feilding - put in an excellent effort.

Hawera NZ’s Top Team in Worlds

England’s Royal Berkshire team won the title of Champion of the World Road Rescue Challenge. For New Zealand, the most notable performance came from Hawera. One of our greenest teams beat out some very experienced teams to place 8th overall in the World Road Rescue Challenges.

After months of training and preparation, 23 teams from around the world turned up to the World and Australasian Road Rescue Challenges in Wellington - and faced some tough scenarios that took skill, determination, and team work to get through.
