NZ Firefighters’ Welfare Society New Members Draw
From January 1 every two months there will be a draw from all new members for 2 nights free stay at any of the Welfare Society holiday homes. All winners will be notified by letter. The winners may have their names published in/on Welfare Society’s newsletters, Website and other Fire Service related media.
Fill out the application form found on the New Zealand firefighters Welfare Website. The cost is $3 a week, about the cost of a flat white. See the Welfare Society web site for a list of the 15 benefits a member can claim. Even if you don’t need or use all the benefits now, you will be helping other firefighters by your membership contribution. The Welfare Society is all about “FIREFIGHTERS HELPING FIREFIGHTERS”
Did You Know?
All Brigades can now pay Welfare Society contributions for nominated members of their brigade to membership of the New Zealand Firefighters’ Welfare Society. A number of brigades now use this as a recruitment and retention tool and also as a small reward for their brigade members.
