Set out below are notes on some current issues under consideration by United Fire Brigades’ Association of New Zealand.
Advocacy on behalf of our members and other forms of membership support is a fundamental role of our organisation. We invite member brigades and brigade personnel to advise us of areas where UFB A can assist in issues of significance affecting our well-being and our ability to serve our communities. Member Feedback requested on the NZFS Proposal for a Revised Regional Structure
21st January 2011The New Zealand Fire Service has released a paper detailing the proposal for a revised regional model. UFBA brigades and other UFBA member organisations and/or any person otherwise associated with the UFBA are invited to submit comment to this Office no later than 7 February 2011 in order for the UFBA to lodge a submission with NZFS if appropriate.
Auckland Rural Fire Forces (Super City)
8th July 2010The UFBA is currently supporting ten Rural Fire Forces (RFF) members who have been concerned about the implications of the Super City concept on the way in which they wish to provide services to their communities.
Plans for New and Renovated Fire Stations
8th July 2010The NZFS has in place a staged process for the upgrading of NZFS fire stations – usually by either the erection of a new building or the renovation of an existing station.
NZFS Support Personnel Policy

NZ Law Commission – Review of the Sale of Liquor Act
