The Road Crash Rescue Challenges are gaining in popularity and demand has been growing for this event over the past few years.  This event it an excellent way for Firefighters to hone their rescue skills, in a pressure situation. So to ensure that there are plenty of opportunity to get this practise in, The UFBA are now offering this Challenge on an annual basis.  Now in the years where there is no National Challenge we will be running a North Island and South Island Challenge.  2015 will be the first time that we do this event and although we were unable to confirm that we would be able to fund these until late 2014, we have managed to get everything in place to ensure we will have two great competitions.

Thanks to the kind support of Silverdale and Cromwell Volunteer Fire Brigades who have offered to host these events, everyone will have an opportunity to compete.  Silverdale will host the North Island Challenge on the 15-16 May and Cromwell will host th South Island Challenge on the 6-7 of June. The events will run over two days allowing us to haveas many as 18 teams competing at each event.

We welcome new teams to come along and test their skills. All you need to do is read the rules and use the skills that you are already trained to us. Dont worry if you have never competed before, this is a great opporunity to learn and grow before the Nationals in 2016. 3 teams from this years competition will go on to compete in Australia in July.

Registration for the events will open on the 10th of April.  The registration packs have been sent to Birgades. They can also be found on the website. Visit the Events pages for each event to download copies of the pack. You will also find a link to the registration site. Don't delay in registering. Registration is only open for three weeks and spaces are limited
