Big Day for NZFBI Field Day Participants
11th August 2010The Picton Volunteer Fire Brigade hosted an NZFBI (New Zealand Fire Brigades’ Institute) field day in late July. The day was chock-full of new and interesting information for participants.
Fire Service to Replace BA Sets
9th August 2010The Fire Service is undertaking a project to replace all 3500 of its current BA sets. Many of the current sets are approaching 18 years old and are becoming more costly to service and maintain. There have also been a number of developments over the last 5-10 years in BA technology and wearer safety functionality that the Fire Service would like to evaluate to see if it has any benefits to our wearers.

The report is titled "Emergency Management of Significant Events - A Study of an 'Inter-Agency Approach' to Managing High Profile Events and how the New South Wales Fire Brigades contributes to Event and Public Safety".
