The UFBA welcomes Jacqueline Apiata-Coyne, as Independent Appointed Director

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Jacqui Apiata-Coyne to the Board of the United Fire Brigades' Association.

Jacqui brings professional leadership and not-for-profit governance experience as a Member of the Institute of Directors, Chairperson of Tai Kotuku and current Health Safety and Environment Manager for Northland Wasteformer Board Member of the Forestry Industry Safety Council (FISC) and Vice-Chair of Tai Tokerau Polynesian Canoe Association. She is well-respected in the fields of H&S audit and risk management and research and programme development.

Jacqui comes from a rural Poverty Bay upbringing with a hard-working ethos through hands-on work experience in the agriculture and horticulture sector. Jacqui has a deep-rooted comprehension relating to He Whakaputanga (Declaration of Independence of New Zealand) and Te Tiriti o Waitangi. As a former World Champion Athlete and Coach with national level success, Jacqui is passionate about leadership development.

A highly qualified post-graduate executive, her broad skills and experiences and connection with the forest industry, coupled with an ethical and values-based approach to life will be an invaluable addition to the UFBA Board.
