UFBA Service Honours Price Review 2025
The current state of the economy is being reflected in many aspects, particularly a significant increase in the price of gold, which is having an impact on the manufacturing costs of UFBA service honours.
The supplier for UFBA medals and bars has announced it will be increasing its prices from 28 May 2025.
Gold makes up 60% of their manufacturing cost and we have been advised that price increases will range from 7-54%. This mainly impacts the 50-year service medal, 25-year Gold Star, and 5-year service medal, and gold bars.
The UFBA Board has agreed to absorb a portion of the increases to help reduce the impact this has on our member brigades, we also offer a gold alternative for both the 50-year service medal and 25-year Gold Star as a cost-effective option. UFBA Management will be monitoring the price of gold to look for opportunities to reduce medal pricing.

To take advantage of the current prices (Price List 2024), brigades need to order their service honours before 5pm Friday 30 May, and the honours presentation date must be before 31 December 2025. Order forms and process information is available on our website – Application forms | UFBA
