FENZ ICT Changes Reversed Following Member Feedback
Many of you shared your concerns about the recent FENZ ICT changes and the impact they were having on brigade operations, volunteers, and station life. We listened, raised these concerns directly with FENZ, and through our strategic partnership we were able to strongly advocate for the changes to be reconsidered until proper evaluation and consultation could take place.
As a result, by working collaboratively with FENZ to find a solution, they have advised that the ICT changes have been rolled back immediately, with previous systems and policy settings reinstated until consultation is undertaken and final decisions are considered. A comms has already been sent to your inbox from FENZ DCE, Sarah Sinclair to confirm this.
This is a positive outcome and reinforces the importance of meaningful engagement with volunteers and their representative body when decisions are being made that affect our brigades and operational environment.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to share their experiences and feedback. Your voices have helped ensure volunteers are heard.
We expect members' ICT experience has returned to normal and we will continue to keep you updated as further information becomes available.
