UFBA Vacancy - Advocacy and Support Advisor

Are you someone who listens deeply, builds trust and is prepared to stand alongside people when things get difficult?

The UFBA is looking for an Advocacy & Support Advisor to join our team and help ensure volunteer firefighters and fire service volunteers across Aotearoa have a strong voice when they need it most.

This is a people-focused role where you’ll provide independent support, guidance and advocacy to members navigating complaints, disputes and other complex situations — helping them understand their rights, explore their options and work towards fair and constructive outcomes.

You might come from advocacy, employment or employee relations, membership support, complaints resolution or another people-focused field. More important than your job title is your ability to connect with people, navigate difficult conversations and genuinely care about helping others.
