FENZ ICT Changes - Significant Impact on Volunteers

The UFBA has been made aware of significant changes to the FENZ ICT system which is impacting our members ability to effectively carryout their roles. 

 

This change blocks users from downloading files from any FENZ system (eg. Sharepoint and Teams) to their personal devices - and as volunteers do not have FENZ-issued devices, aside from ICT equipment on station, this has significantly reduced (if not entirely prohibited) their ability to work remotely and completely goes against the FENZ Volunteerism Principles.

 

What is most concerning is that this change was made without the required consultation with the UFBA and our members. Given the substantial impact this is likely to have on volunteers' flexibility and accessibility, FENZ are required under legislation to consult on such matters.
