Our hearts are broken as rescued Muriwai volunteer firefighter passed

Aroha nui members, we are devastated to be sharing this news with you.

The volunteer firefighter from Muriwai Volunteer Fire Brigade, who was rescued from the landslide and taken to hospital in critical condition has now passed.

To lose one of our own is heartbreaking, to lose two is unthinkable.

As we mourn the loss of two community heroes, we also wrap our strength and love around their whanau, friends and brigade.
