Research project

Kia ora/Talofa lava/Hello/Malo e lelei/Ni sa bul,

We are looking for New Zealand firefighters, both employed and voluntary members, for a research project.

I appreciate that this may be another research project, but to get an understanding of the impact of cumulative trauma and self-regulation on Posttraumatic Stress Symptoms, depression and suicidality in New Zealand firefighters, it is important that I get as many participants as possible.

Participants will complete an online survey, which should take approximately 20 minutes. You will be given the option to provide your contact details to go in the draw for a $40 gift voucher (these contact details will be kept separate from your responses).

There is also a paper version of this survey. If you would like a paper copy, please email jeannette.bertram.1@uni.massey.ac.nz and a paper copy with a stamped and addressed envelope will be sent to you.

We are interested in hearing from career, volunteer, urban and rural firefighters. In order to protect participants’ privacy, the survey and the prize draw, which survey participants are eligible for, are anonymous.
