Update on Firefighter Torches

Following the announcement in November 2021, where Fire and Emergency New Zealand advised all operational firefighters will be issued with firefighter illumination capability (FIC - torch).

Fire and Emergency have selected the  Pelican™ 3415M, Right Angled Light supplied by Pelican Products Inc (www.pelican.com) through Fire Rescue Safety NZ (FRSNZ) as the Pelican agent in NZ.

Production and delivery of the torches to Fire and Emergency operational firefighters will occur from July to December 2022. A special production run of circa 13,000 torches will be delivered dependent on global shipping availability.

Further rollout detail will be provided when delivery schedules are confirmed.
