We regret to advise you that the 2023 UFBA National Waterway Challenge to be held in Methven this coming weekend (16-18 February) is now cancelled.

This difficult decision has been made as a sign of respect for the emerging tragedy in Muriwai, and taking into consideration brigades’ ongoing commitments to their communities and with New Zealand remaining in a National State of Emergency for the affected regions.

If you are a competitor or official and your travel was booked through your registration, this will be dissolved by Gilpin Travel.

The UFBA Events Team and Challenge Panel are exploring a potential postponement date. Please bear with us while we work this through.
