Following the announcement in November 2021, where Fire and Emergency New Zealand advised all operational firefighters will be issued with firefighter illumination capability (FIC - torch).

We have given much consideration to the Government’s COVID-19 Protection Framework (CPF) Red setting, the modelling for Omicron in our motu/country and the safety of our members.

We were very fortunate to be able to go ahead with our South Island Waterway Challenge on Saturday.

Well, that’s a wrap!

The last day for processing fire shop orders is Tuesday 21st December 2021.

Orders placed after this date will be dispatched when the office reopens on the 10th January 2022.

Venue change for 2022 North Island Firefighter Combat Challenge

The Events Team and Challenge Panel are so excited and hard at work organising the 2022 Challenge season!

We did it! Torches for firefighters are coming!

Due to the uncertainty created by the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2022 Australasian Police and  Emergency Services (AP&ES) Games have been postponed from March 2022 until March 2023.

It’s a good start! The requirement to prove that a disease or infection is not work related will soon be back on ACC.

The UFBA has made inquiries with FENZ about the possibility of recognising the 20^th anniversary of the United Nations International year of the volunteer, perhaps by issuing another medal.
